Andrea Pirlo scored a magnificent free-kick on the night of his 100th Champions League appearance as Juventus beat Olympiakos 3-2. Goals from Pogba and an own goal helped the Turin club get past the Greek champions.

Meanwhile in the Emirates, Aleksander Mitrovic scored the late leveller as RSC Anderlecht came from behind to equalize against Arsenal 3-3. A fine volley from in-form Alexis Sanchez followed by goals from Mikel Arteta and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain wasn’t enough to earn a victory for the North London side.

Last year finalists, Atletico Madrid was on fine form as they ease past Malmo FF. Goals from Koke and Raul Garcia secured the victory for them.

FC Basel brushed aside Bulgarian club, FC Ludogarets, beating them 4-0.

Benfica’s Brazilian prodigy, Anderson Talisca scored the only goal in the game to grab three points against AS Monaco.
